Developed from 1986 to 1998, Heron Pointe features larger homes that are between 2,200 and 3,850 square feet. The area has gorgeous landscaping full of beautiful live oaks and pines. Many of the homes are right on the marsh and some have docks that access Hobcaw Creek.
The neighborhood is also built around a nice sized pond, which some of the homes overlook. A single street off Mathis Ferry road provides access to Heron Pointe with no outlet, so thru traffic is absent from the community. There are no community amenities, but the streets are quiet and make for a wonderful stroll, and a plethora of amenities are within a five-minute drive.
