Hamlin Rd. is across Highway 17 from the Brickyard Plantation neighborhood. The homes along Hamlin Road are situated on large lots, and most have been there since before the current real estate building boom in the area. You’ll find a mix of homes built from the 1950’s to the 1980’s with some newer constructions popping up and some manufactured homes. Several new small developments are situated off Hamlin Rd, which intersects Rifle Range Rd. Although a sidewalk runs along the two-lane street, the area is pretty rural. Most recently, a four-acre tract off Hamlin Rd. was purchased by a nonprofit for conservation purposes. Hamlin Rd. becomes a dirt road before it dead-ends at the marsh.
